My Background

I started making music when I was about 14 years old. I was on Ableton every day making beats, mostly hip-hop and rap at the time. This was my main basis for how to learn how to use the software that I use today, even though it was in a completely different genre from what I produce now. I did that for a couple years before I found my love for dance music and DJing.

Senior year of high school is when I got my first DJ deck. I immediately fell in love with it as soon as I got my hands on it. I started inviting my friends over for house parties and playing for them. This is when “Club Vega” was born, giving me my first experience on how to throw events, play my music for an audience, and curate to a crowd. From there I slowly left the hip-hop world and entered the dance world.

I became obsessed with house music and loved playing dance tracks for my friends. Once I got to college, I wanted to keep doing the parties me and my friends fell in love with. That’s how I started throwing shows. I would rent out DIY venues for the night and book myself and my friends to play. To this day, I think that my experience doing “Club Vega” in high school is what set me up to do these kinds of events, feel comfortable, and build up my experience before I started getting into more professional and cemented endeavors.

From there I started meeting other people who also threw shows, and we began working together. Around that time, I also fell in love with faster, driving rhythms like hardgroove techno, jersey club, and hard house. I started releasing my own music and building a community of people who love this style of music and dancing.

When I turned 21, I began playing at clubs and bars along with the DIY shows. That helped me build my crowd and grow in the nightlife scene. At the end of the day, I do this all from the passion that I have had for music, going back to when I was 14 making hip-hop beats in my room. I want to story tell through my music and my sets and create nights that people will remember so they always end up coming back for more.
